Dexcom G7 change

Time for a new Dexcom G7 CGM.

Dexcom G7 is NOT FDA-approved for the stomach but it’s one of the placements I prefer. It sticks (almost too) well and it's not in the way.

I got a bit impatient with the glue remover, guess recording the process can do that. If I'd let it sit for another 5 minutes the sensor would have slid right off.

Thank you so much for showing other places besides back of the arm I was getting so many lows at night. Now since I changed it to my stomach my readings are down and steady. You are amazing

Thanks for the tip about putting it on your leg, at the front of the thigh. I much prefer it to the back of my arm. 👍

Instead of using an alcohol wipe on the old one use baby oil with a Q-tip around the sticky area. Wait a minute and it comes off with less tugging and residual glue.

Love your Dexcom Tips n Tricks and give me hope that women like you actually exist. So smart and pretty too I might add. I wish the Dexcom techy’s were half as smart as you. Most of them robots, daring never go outside the box.

I didn’t think the G7 could be worn on the stomach? The info says no! I am 66 and just diagnosed in February with Type 1. So much to learn

When using an alcohol wipe (or straight from an alcohol bottle) to clean area before applying sensor (and Omnipod pod), it takes more than a few seconds to dry. There is water in the alcohol solution. Our skin is porous, absorbing the water & alcohol. After wiping with the alcohol, use a hair dryer on low or no-heat, or a clean towel to dry the area. Then apply the sensor or pod. It will stick better and longer.

I have been getting so many crazy readings I’m starting to doubt my G7. I going to try inserting a screenshot of G7 blood sugar graph and if possible give your opinion of what I think of my erratic blood sugars.
