OG Xbox Red ring of death Error code 12

I got a second hand xbox back in the day and i used to get this message alot and it would just turn off at times also. I finally figured out why tho my dad and i opened it and found the problem. Someone left a screw driver head in the console while repairing or maintaining and it was making the Console over heat for some reason took it out and it worked like a champ for years.

Hi man 🖖 you need to clean the dvd drive board with isopropyl alcohol, clean the connectors, cables, contacts E.T.C. The ribbon cable who connect the dvd/cd reader laser Lents with the dvd drive board sometimes disconnects himself make sure you got everything in place and properly cleaned before you plug again your console and let dry the alcohol.

This errors can happen when the Xbox need some maintenance.

Error 12 means DVD drive parameters missing or incorrect.... Basically this is a very common fault on the Samsung Drives and the only option is to replace it sadly :(

This could be the Phillips drive. This is the result of the cable being loose. Try jiggling the IDE cable a bit.

Just found one on ebay sealed and new, unboxed it and error 12 right off the bat. Its been sitting sealed in a box for 20 years hope it can be fixed if not i still have my halo edition

I get this error on my Xbox and have tried to fix it but with no succes so far. Hope there is a quick fix.
