As a nurse I question their ability to care for women - they seem to not think there is a risk of the ‘medication’ going into the mother via the placenta.
There are countless medications a mother can't take due to it going to baby through the placenta and trust me you as a person do not was digoxin in your system when you don't medically need it - it causes a horrific death if the dose is high enough. Almost 2 decades later I am still traumatised witnessing the affects of digoxin on someone who didn't need it and the battle we had to keep them alive and the amount of cardiac arrests they had.

Couldn’t a decent working definition for lying that would solve this conundrum be that it is deliberately bending the truth to benefit yourself? This way, the definition accounts for not telling the truth in certain circumstances where it’s better not to.

Or perhaps, if it’s always wrong no matter what, is there precedent for consciously committing pre-meditated sins with the intention of repenting in the future?
