Your PC might have been connecting to the far away one while you had the mesh one right beside it...

You are not using full features. You should set up the Wi-Fi backul in unii4 range with 160Mhz ;)

I have the AXE16000. Can these be used with that for additional nodes for other areas of the home that do not get a good signal from the AXE16000. I do have many Ethernet ports all around the house where these can benefit from being connected directly to Ethernet. This way the AXE does not have to send wireless signal to these and then these broadcast wirelessly. My AXE16000 is in the low voltage closet next to a large gigabit switch. All I have to do is plug into the gigabit switch the 2 wires needed for the 2 locations that I would need these 2 ROG GT6s. I already have 2 of the GT6s since someone did not need theirs and gave them to me. Just need some help setting them up for best performance if they can be used as nodes with the AXE16000 as the main router. Thanks

Asus, please stop giving non tech youtubers routers, these "gamers" dont just magically learn network topology and how this tech actually works, let alone how to properly test the speeds of an internal network just because you send them something to review. (Running a public speed test site and walking around is not it!)😂😂😂😂

Good vid, the moving thing is because of beam forming. beam forming directs the signal out based on where your device is in physical space around the mesh. If you move it has to re-calibrate repeatedly slowing packet delivery.

If you ha e a gig connection, disable the Qos settings. You don't need it and it'll slow you down.

How is it for multiple gamers at the same time? Say 2-3 consoles (PS5/Xbox) in different areas? What type of system would be suited for that on a gig fiber connection? Thx

question. I have an ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 & 2 ROG Rapture GT6s. I have a large area to cover. I was told by ASUS Tech support before I bought them that they will work together. Well I was given the AXE16000 but I bought the 2 GT6s for the extended space. I told them I planned on using the AXE16000 as my main router and the 2 ROG GT6s as 2 nodes or what ever you want to call them. They told me they will work. Today when I called tech support they told me you cannot use them this way. Both devices under their specs say AiMesh capable.

Are you familiar with these? If so do you know if they will work like I am hoping they will? If they do where do you recommend I go for quality support to get help setting them up. ASUS customer tech support is terrible. I read my serial number to the guy 10 times and I swear they were just not listening.

Also for your info. I plan to have my AXE16000 connected to my ISP modem. My ISP does not have a built in router/wifi. So I will not need to put anything on their equipment in bridge mode. So the AXE16000 will be my router and I will have the 2 GT6s spread out far away on other side of building. My AXE16000 is next to and connected to a 16 port gigabit switch. I have Ethernet ran in the walls all the way out to where both GT6s are located. So the internet will be supplied from my AXE16000 through Cat6 to my GT6s so they will not be receiving WiFi signal from AXE16000 to the GT6s but instead they will be directly connected via Ethernet.

I am hoping I can have the 2 GT6s receive wired internet and then broadcast WiFi from there to devices on that side of building.

Will this work and how do I go about doing this?

Thanks for your help in advance.

How did the Asus compare to your Orbi?

The GT6 can be used separately so you got two full power routers instead of one satellite unit.
