To be fair, the virtual boy had its development team and budget halved, so they had to change a lot of things to fit the new budget.

Honestly the 3 in ones are great because if one of the games are not at the store then you can still get it. Also it is great if you are still deciding.

I bought the choose one gift cards for my sister on her birthday. I was in a rush, and was lucky she actually wanted one of the games she could choose. My question is, WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYONE EVER WANT TO LIMIT THEIR $60 TO ONE OF THREE GAMES WHEN THEY CAN GET ANY GAME THEY WANT WITH THE SAME $60?

the use of pick one cards was my idea. it saves on printing and think about it, everybody throws them away. it’s good to print less and have multiple options on one card as opposed to multiple cards for the same game.

The choose one bundle was meant to be given out to a friend who you couldn’t choose directly for due to how picky they are.

Dude... I love the virtual boy. It's honestly an extremely underrated console. Modern mods that fix the lens issues, add a video output port, and let you change the color on your screen are so good. Not to mention hacks that utilize the link cable port for 1v1 mario tennis are incredible!!!

The virtual boy was meant be a much more developed product, but ended up getting rushed to fit in between the super Nintendo and the N64

blurred images on the intro are as follows
dk bongo drums, a gamecube controller that was really only meant for one game. the gb printer, and the DS extra circle pad grip, didn't get used much in games honestly

Ill defend the choose one gift cards, it's nice to actually be able to select one a game you like, we all know buying a game for someone is hard considering you might not really know their tastes in games or if they already own it. It would suck if you buying a game for your nephew and turns out he already has Splatoon. Plus it's kinda there to save shelf space for the store so its kinda practical. Yeah Standard Nintendo Point cards are probably better, but sometimes you don't want little Timmy to have too much freedom and buy a rated M game from the eShop or something.

With the choose 3, it seems like a safer option for kids. A parent knows what games they can choose and they're just giving them 60 bucks to free roam and by something the kid may not understand and not be able to play

Labo could have had so much longevity if they'd just added medals for each mini game. Or, you know, if nintendo had an achievement system like everyone else.

Right is the Circle Pad Pro for the Nintendo 3ds
