The 2018 Mazda6 Signature competes against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry in the midsize sedan class. After spending a week with the 6, I came to the conclusion that it is my new favourite in this highly competitive class. Here are a few final thoughts regarding the Mazda6.

Leased my Mazda6 Reserve last month. Best car I've ever owned!

No, you can play music from a USB plugged into the USB ports in the armrest.
Plug the USB into the port and change the input to the USB port in the same menu screen where you change FM/AM/XM etc.

Am I the only person that cares more about the car than how it will connect to my phone?

I agree on Your 'looks' comment. I simply could not dish out 30 or 40 Grand for a car that makes me want to throw up every time I look at it. The Honda Accord would be one of those cars, regardless of specs.

You can instal android auto yourself via the usb port. It takes a few min. Plenty of info online. also, resale value is superior with the Mazda because of looks and demand. We have seen this with previous Mazda models.

That angle of the Accord at 2:21 is certainly indicative of how homely that front grille is. Too bad because the profile is pretty attractive as is the rip-off they did of the 2016 Mazda 6 interior. Sorry "homage". 😁
Just goes to prove how good Mazda engineering and design is. Here is an almost 5 year old design that still compares favorably, if not eclipses BRAND NEW designs from Honda and Toyota. Anyone who chooses Honda or Toyota over the Mazda really is doing it because of marketing. IMO. Also totally agree that a car HAS to be attractive as well as functional and good to drive. Spending that amount of money, there has to be some emotional connection way beyond the passive glance I give my refrigerator.

You said only Apple Carplay will be available for upgrade. This is incorrect as Mazda has repeatedly said that both Android Auto and Apple Carplay will be available, though when it is available is a big mystery XD.

This man is obsessed with Apple Play! I don't like the Mazda 6 because it won't fly above the ground or go under the sea like a sub. Seriously, there is only 2 real problems with my Mazda 6. Leaving a light, its tires squeal like a race car and gas mileage is down. Both problems are caused by the turbo! However, don't forget that the Mazda 6 Signature has everything the Cadillac CT6 has for $52000 less.

The Hyundai Sonata has Apple Car Play, looks better than the Accord, comes with a very long warranty, is rated more reliable than Honda or Mazda by JD Power, and is far less expensive to buy due to dealer discounts and lower MSRP. The Honda and the Mazda do give you more road feel and a sportier drive, so the Sonata is not better in every way. It all depends on what you want most in a vehicle. I could live with an Accord, a Mazda 6, or a Sonata and be happy. I would never buy a Camry because of the looks, however. It's just too off-the-wall ugly for me to even consider. Toyota is lost in the woods when it comes to design these days and their reliability rating is slipping as well.

For you Apple Car Play is the thing. Ok! Buy an Apple Car Play and build a car around it. That should make you happy.

Mazda saidAndroid Auto and Apple Carplay was gonna be avalible in the first week of June2018. Clearly they missed that. I'm predicting it will come out the same time the Mazda 6 diesel is released. Mazda never does what it says
