France, yet again, reaping the enormous benefits of diversity and importing immigrants. I was so shocked to see the name of the driver was Arab. really, never expected that.

Police tell you to stop.
Police have a gun pointed at you.
You still don’t obey and drive the car...

What do you expect!??!

I definitely saw that car drive off putting the Police officers lives in danger. Dead teen made a fatal mistake. His mistake was breaking the law and he paid a heavy price. None of it would of happened if the teen had obeyed the police.

Have to admit, would not come to mind to try and escape while a law enforcement officer has his weapon pointed at me, i would probably try to de-escalate and cooperate. If the stop was illegal, i may sue later, but flooring the gas pedal to escape is certainly a very bad idea.

The police may not be 100% right, but this teenager isn’t either. He may not have tried to run them over But he definitely put them in danger.

Never understood what the point of burning civilian cars and destroying people's shops is when people protesting about something..
In this case why are protestors not just blockading the local police station .
What have the car and business owners got to do with this incident?
Just a destructive mob looking for something to destroy.. childish..

Why drive away with a gun in your face from the police?

We hear this in North America too. Just like the kids ‘electrocuted while running from police’ this teenager was shot ‘while fleeing a traffic stop’ Lesson: Don’t flee. Listen to Police. More money, more education, more sports programs? That car looked pretty nice. Any personal responsibility Broken homes, drug use?

Why did he drive without a license in the first place? I didnt do that when I was a teenager, so why did he?

Did France want to be more like the US ? Doing a great job

The police need to let criminals commit crimes as they do in America. In America, criminals can walk into a store and walk out with thousands of $ of goods and they will not be stopped or arrested. The criminals, like Nahel, can steal cars and no longer be stopped. Are stores closing down because of this practice, are insurers stopping insuring cars for theft? yes, but if the police use force like was needed to stop the criminal Nahel, things can go wrong really really fast and the city ends up paying millions of $ and the policemen go to jail for doing their job badly.
So we are in an era where we need to let criminals commit crimes. Nahel had broken the law 15 times, and he was endangering the safety of the people on the road. That no longer matters, it is about criminals' right to commit crimes. I live on the West Coast of the US, that is how we have been living for a while, it seems France is no longer civilized and is becoming American.

Why are the French again and again so violent and destructive when protesting? :) When they protest, they seem to be unstoppable. They should not burn anything random though... The innocent can't pay for somebody else's mistakes.
