I’ve always wanted one of these mixers. Saw a garage sale in marketplace. They had a garage sale. Bought a Kitchen aid heavy duty mixer for $50
And I’m so happy

My KitchenAid Classic from the 1980's is amazing. It's NEVER broken down once, it just keeps going, and going and going.

BEST INFORMATIONAL VIDEO EVER. You touched in all my questions and concerns. Everyone should watch this video before buying their first kitchen aid mixer.
Thank you for the great content.

I do enjoy both my K5SS 5qt and Pro 7qt: K5SS is sturdy enough to handle bread dough and Pro 7qt is great for high-volume production. Eventually, I will buy a vintage Hobart commercial mixer and restore it. thank you for all the tips, from São Paulo, Brazil!

Thank you for this video, I was looking at South African dry sausage which would need a meat grinder and a sausage filler to make.

Talking about two birds in one stone my wife loves baking too and to my surprise there is a machine that'll work for both of us.

You've given awareness of the Kitchen Aid product from a repair and upgrade point of view. Knowing they are servicable and there are people like you makes investing in the machine easier.

Had no idea that Pedro Pascal did kitchenaid maintenance on the side! Great video, really informative!

Another benefit of the 7 qt proline is my sanity while it's running and I had to be in the kitchen. The noise level difference is much greater than what comes through on video.

So the order is:
Classic
Artisan
K5ss
Pro600
Proline
How about the commercial one?

Thank you, you wouldn’t believe the number of people that are degrading Kitchen Aid’s quality for not being the all purpose mixer they’ve deluded themselves into thinking. These people don’t know the difference between light doughs and heavy doughs.

Have you ever worked on a Kenmore Elite stand mixer? Both the kitchenaid and the Kenmore Are made by Whirlpool kitchenaid and many of the parts are interchangeable.

Zack, I might be interested in a K5SS model if you have them.

Not now, but eventually, I’ll be ready to buy one from you.

All i found was videos of people talking about their color, their sizes and how they sound XD but this is what I needed to decide which one to invest my money in, new subscriber!

12:25 Adding lock washers I get. Getting rid of the square drive screws, I don't. LOVE my dedicated #2 SQ head screwdriver. Surprised I don't hear you recommending folks get one. Or see you using one. Anytime I see a "Robertson" screw, I know the mfg. cares about quality and I don't have to worry about my Phillips head driver slipping off and marring the finish. Thanks for another great vid!

An absolute joy watching you and your repair shop fix up these mixers! I finally bit the bullet and purchased a secondhand KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus. I regreased and replaced some worn cogs while following your instructions, and the operation difference is night and day! I never could have done it without you and your youtube channel. Keep up the good work, you now have 1 hard-earned subscriber watching all your videos!!

Cheers from Malaysia,
Ethan

I bought a tilt head machine today, watched this and cancelled my order for a bowl lift machine because I want to make a lot of bread. I hope this was the right decision. Thanks for the video and the information. I live in Europe, if I were in the US I would have bought from you!

a good friend of mine was cleaning out his mother storage unit today and found one of these in the box with the paddle only, no wisp or hook, he said his mother used this maybe twice that he could remember and bought this back in 2004, Its super clean artisan model mint green, love this thing, its a well made machine no doubt. need to get the wisp and hook.. got it for free so Im gonna get him a gift card or something for saying thanks for this!

My favourite is my "classic" tilt head, because that was a present from my late wife and using it always brings up memories. Love your videos. There is one thing that puzzles me a little - you say that you see rarely damage to the metal gears. I have fixed a lot less of the things than you have (dozens rather than thousands), but at least a third of them had gear damage (some of them even with the nylon gear intact), usually on the "beveled" upper part of the main gear (I think this what drives the attachment gear). What those machines had in common was that the grease had separated, with the oily part leaking out (and obviously that they were all sold in Europe). So even if it's rare, that gears break at all is a good reminder of how important it is to re-grease your machine from time to time.
