2021 Ram TRX – MPG Test | Real-world Highway Range

Показать описание
The test no one asked for: What mpg can you get on the highway with the 2021 Ram TRX? In order to save our wallet, we ran half of our usual highway fuel-economy route, but it was still enough to show that the TRX is not exactly a fuel sipper. Still better than the 7 mpg we've been getting off the highway!

That's actually not as bad as I had feared. In a way, it's actually pretty impressive. I remember dad's old Bronco struggling to get 14 MPG, but that had less than 1/3 the power.

Chrysler has changed the trucking game with this high performance truck!! No one has ever produced a truck of this nature!! To those that complain about fuel economy, why would you buy a 6.2 Supercharged V8 pickup truck with around 700 hp and expect the best fuel economy ever?

I have gotten 16.5 mpg by just feathering the pedal and keeping the speed around 70. 130 mile trip mostly expressway.

That's not too bad... My 2018 Power wagon averages 11.9 mpg

So I’ve driven 3000 miles now. My average below 45mph is around 11/12mpg. 45-55 around 14.8mpg. 55-70 17mpg. 70+ 11.8mpg. The total average 40 miles round trip to work on freeway averages around 15mpg without using cruise control.

Colder weather will lower the MPG, on my 2021 TRX at 70 and light throttle I am averaging 14 MPG which is impressive for a large heavy truck. I may test it in the summer as the MPG should increase a little. Overall, not bad for a 700HP monster...I mean dinosaur!

same gas mileage as my 2500HD duramax with 37's . so when i get my new trx in, i'll be right in line with same fuel economy..

I would love for you to do the same exact test with your cruise control set at 62mph to see what it would get. My prediction would be 17----18mpg.

That mud should reduce that mpg a bit🤣🤣

Charlie, Who can blame you for cutting the test in half? When I think of gallons per mile fuel economy, I think RAM TRX. :-)

My 19 rebel gets pretty shit mpg. I get around 11-13 but mostly city driving. Won’t be upset when my trx comes in and I get around the same but with 300 more hp lol

Not bad considering my Ram 1500 5.7 got 17mpg average on a 600 mile (mostly interstate) highway trip

This is really close to the same as what I get with Ram 2500 6.4L just I don't have to use premium gas.

You make good videos.
Just show fuel gauge after the test when u stop at gas station.
People will come to know how much fuel is used according to the gauge.

I currently get 12-13 mpg on my 2009 5.7 ram on 35s and 3 inch lift. I would gladly get that mpg in that truck lol

On highway put mode into snow mode and you will get 30 mpg, really and try it

From a bunch of videos I’ve watched it seems snow mode the most eco friendly mode, not auto
