Hi guys! It's been a long time.
I was very busy as many events are reopening in 14 months.

I opened this channel on April 14th in 2020 but the first official video was uploaded on May 13th. I think today is the real Traum’s anniversary!! 🎉🥳
Looking back on 2020, it was an extremely tough time, but I could keep working happily because of you guys. I thought I lost so many things after the COVID-19 but actually, that was not true.
I could meet you all through this channel, I could play piano for so many people all around the world and most importantly, I received a huge ‘LOVE’ from you guys.

"Picture at an Exhibition" by Mussorgsky is one of the pieces that I learned during the pandemic. As you might know, this piece has so many titles. And I thought, there are many things that I could say through this piece - what I felt, what I thought, what I’ve prayed for... How my heart was broken and I cried as a musician and as a human. To me, the last piece “In the Capital in Kiev” feels like going for a better and more beautiful world.

As we approach to overcoming the COVID-19, I wanted to give back to society what I’ve received so many things from you guys.👏
So I donated to Unicef $1000 for hunger children💰💵. (visit my community page)
I hope Traum’s channel is not only for performing piano but for helping to make the world a better place by sharing music and love.

Sincerely,
Traum

The return of the king.

On a serious note though, this is fucking beautiful. I'm so glad that I got to know you through this channel and that I got to experience this beautiful musical journey. This piece is so fitting for a one-year channel special, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Your videos are genuinely the highlight of my day. Thank you for the beautiful music Traum. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

This could someday be in the Book of Guinness World Records for the longest piano visualizatio or being the first to play one of the longest piece on a visualizer.

You are truly a unique and talented pianist Traum. You are an inspiration to me and to everyone who watches and listens to your music.

You know this piece caught my eye over the past few days, so this is a perfect upload, almost scary. What a pianist, seriously.

The Botagyr Gates made me cry…

Partially because of how beautiful it was, and partially because Kiev, which is where it took place, is a beautiful kingdom that no longer exists. It must have been amazing visiting that place until it was taken over by war…

Edit: nevermind google got my facts wrong it totally does exist today! But I’m still crying because it’s so beautiful

Timestamps and Piece's explanation:

Modest Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition

Pictures at an Exhibition is a work written in 10 movements by Modest Mussorgsky, who was inspired by a visit to an art exhibition. Each movement represents of the artworks which the Russian composer visited. Although it was originally composed for piano in 1874, it became better known as an orchestral work, particularly Maurice Ravel's arrangement.
Mussorgsky composed "Pictures at an Exhibition" as a memorial to his friend, Viktor Hartmann, who died in 1873. After his death some of his artworks were shown. Mussorgsky wanted to "arrange" his friend's art into music. By early summer 1874, he completed the work: a long and difficult suite for solo piano. At the death of the composer, the piece had been neither performed nor published. His other friend, Rimsky-Korsakov, got it. The suite was finally printed in 1886.

The suite is amde of 10 movements which are interspersed with Promenade, which are Intermezzos.
Following the opening Promenade, the first four movements are:

Promenade No. 1
1. The Gnome: 1:23 a depiction of an awkward dwarf conveyed through irregular rhythms and forceful outbursts.
Promenade No. 2
2. The Old Castle: 4:42 a solemn and lyrical portrayal of a medieval troubadour singing on the grounds of a grand castle.
Promenade No. 3
3. Tuileries: 9:00 a sprightly sketch of children at play in the "Tuileries Gardens" in Paris, France.
4. Cattle: 9:57 a ponderous characterization of the lumbering of a large Polish ox cart.

The following four movements are:

Promenade No. 4
5. Ballet of Unhatched Chicks: 13:01 a movement which represents a costume design by Hartmann for a children's ballet.
6. "Samuel" Goldenberg and "Schmuÿle": 14:07 a strident melody in the lower register and a twittering chatlike theme in the upper register.
Promenade No. 1
7. Limoges: 17:38 a folsky and cheerful quality movement
8. Catacombs: 18:52 a movememnt which casts an eerie shadow with ominous chords and variations on the recurring Promenade.

The last two Scenes of this Suite are the most renowned.

9. The Hut on Fowl's Legs - Baba Yaga: 22:06 a movement which represents a nightmarish portrayal of the cackling witch Baba-Yaga on the prowl of her prey. She charges [Octaves passages at the end] and finishes into the last movement
10. The Bogatyr Gates - In the Capital in Kiev: 25:27 With a depiction of Hartmann's sketch of a city gate topped by cupolas in which carillons ring, Mussorgsky brings the piece to an amazing ending.

It feels good that you're back, I always know that you come back stronger because of the brakes. Keep living, surviving, playing piano, being happy, and everything that you have to be in the pandemic to stay happy and positive. It will all end one day and all your hard work won't go to waist, it will be sincerely remembered and appreciated. Keep doing what you think is good because it will always benefit in some way. We love you, your honesty and music, so seeing you happy is my best wish 💜
