no it didnt help because when i save the folder/file to obs studio folder or the obs-plugins folder it still does't show up in the list

Bro 3 freaking hours of doing this and this is the only one that worked, the plugins would never show up no matter where I put them in the folders or making new ones or reinstalling OBS. Was driving me nuts. Thanks a ton!

This only explains the happy flow, you should add that OBS has only one possible path for VST plugins. So only the default path works. If your other programs do no use this path you have an issue..
