I hate roofing patches so freaking much. My dad is a general contractor and that was a pain for him for years. Customers always thought he was trying to rip them off when he usually recommended a new roof. And then within a year or 2 they would usually call him and ask for a new roof or even more patches. Patches never last and they cause more problems in surrounding areas unless the roof is some what new and the roof was actually layed out correctly but 99% it was a crappy old worn out roof like the one in this video and the customer just wanted to try and get a couple more years out of it. My dad barely even made anything off doing a new roof it was just so that you didn’t ruin tens of thousands of dollars worth of damages from 1 simple roof leak in a bad storm.
