As a Chinese, i think that i must remind everyone in the comments that Douyin is NOT a makeup style, it is chinese tiktok. And that picture is actually from xiaohongshu(小红书)which is another chinese app that is similar with douyin. stop arguing about whether this is korean, japanese or chinese makeup. The three countries cultures are a bit similar, and douyin is a app that can help people connect with different cultures( and also plain entertainment) since apps like instagram, twitter, youtube, and tiktok cannot be use without vpn, which some people might not know or be able to afford. So basically douyin styled makeup is makeup that are done by chinese BUT has elements from different cultures. Hope this helps you guys to understand better.

tip for Douyin makeup <3: so the either the top, or the bottom lip needs to be darker than the other one. so to do this, use a darker lip gloss or lipstick on the top or bottom lip and use a lighter gloss or lipstick on the other lip so you can get the perfect combo! (coming from someone who does Douyin makeup ❤️)
