Pointless when you’re going to go over it with the second layer. The original layer makes it look splotchy the way it was blended before the second layer.

If you're going to blend it out with your finger, what's the point of making Chevron marks? You might as well make polka dots. It doesn't help anything.

Before hand put some Vaseline or Aquaphor on your lips it helps it look better. Make sure it’s fully soaked into your lips before you apply lipstick.

Just use a lighter shade of any lipies you have then use it as your base. have a darker shade and apply it only on the inner side of your lips, don't apply it all over you lips. Finally, lip gloss.

I feel like the second layer should be clear, but I haven’t seen someone actively do this trend (just the occasional photo of the finished result) so I don’t know

but you kind of did it wrong, your actually supposed to put foundations to directed as above and the colors of your lips all mixed up too!

I did this with my new Chinese lip tint and oh my god it’s adorable 👌😩

It’s better to use a sheer + buildable lip oil in my experience. Often times you have to do a second coat in order to get a good stain.

This works for velvet tints, not water tints tho?

What I do it's just first apply thr whole lipstick around my lips then use a tissue to make it later then applybthe lipstick in my inner part than use a little of pomade (It has petroleum jelly and rose oil. The rose oil makes the lip glossy)

It’s not ugly or bad but I don’t see (or maybe understand) the point…to me it seems like dabbed on light lipstick with gloss…like the same as tint in the middle that you’d kind of blend and cover with gloss so I don’t see why
