"I love the smell of CGI in the morning"

Never gets old.

It didn't go far enough! I wanted to see him tell the Navi that they wanted the rocks, and then have them respond like, "The rocks? The rocks?! They could have all the rocks they want, we don't care about rocks!"

I always assumed that as soon as the ships left they would have immediately turned around and decimated Pandora and the Naavi with ordinance
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought so

Given how long the mines and the corps were on Pandora, I think the Omaticaya were aware of why the humans were there leveling trees. Grace even had a school going so arguably it would be on her for not mentioning it in the first place, but I'm sure they understood that the humans were digging up rocks

Miss this og hishe, this was a favorite of mine back then. The soldier had one job, the general only attacked because the avatar project literally went nowhere. He could have saved humanity 😅

A continuation from 1:28
Jake: Alright, I'll tell you. They were here for this stuff called unobtanium.
Leader: Oh that? Yeah, we have loads of that. How much do you need?
Jake: What, you're just going to give it to us for free?
Leader: Sure, we don't need it anyway. We're practically swimming in the stuff.
Jake, looking at all the dead bodies: Oh...

The whole point why the humans attacked the Navi was because Jake said in his video log that he thought they were never going to leave Home Tree. When the other humans heard that, they decided they didn't want to wait anymore. Jake was eventually going to tell them probably.

And to obtain the Unobtainium from the ground under Home Tree they almost certainly needed to destroy the tree, so Jake was right: there was just no way the Navi were ever going to leave Home Tree. The humans would have chosen violence when they would find that out. (Because of the video log they found it out sooner.)

Problem about the first Avatar movies is that they didn't explain most of everything

Let's see here:
- the three laws of Pandora that the Na'vi follow: Thou shall not set stone upon stone, thou shall not use the turning wheel and thou shall not mine the metals beneath

- the other diverse clans that should be mentioned a lot more

- the colorful and in depth traditions of the Omatikaya

- explaining why the humans need the Unobtanium in the first place

- more depth about the other characters: Parker, Norm, Trudy, Tsu'tey
The deleted scenes gave them more character, especially Trudy

- more explanation and detail about the diversity of Pandora's biology

Sadly, you will have to look it up yourself just to understand the entire avatar universe

Fun Fact:
James Cameron originally planned to have the film completed for release in 1999. At the time, the special effects he wanted increased the budget to $400 million. No studio would fund the film, and it was shelved for eight years.

"Dude, people are dead now!"
🤣🤣
But that actually brings up a really good point- we never saw anyone try to tell them what they actually wanted.
The Navi might have had an alternative.

This goes to prove that Princess Mononoke covered the subject better.

To be fair to Jake here he didn't have any time to explain that. The very day he gained enough trust to be able to tell them about the mining and convince them to move, the corporation came in with the deforestation gear. Yeah he made that video log saying they were never going to move but they didn't know about that until after his betrayal.

It is kinda funny that humans really could just completely destroy the Avatar people at the end if they really wanted to.

When the RDA said "It's nuking time!" and they nuked Pandora all over place, I smiled.

Oh I am being hit with nostalgia 😅
Upon seeing this video for the first time in forever, all of a sudden I was a 12 year old boy again in sixth grade living in a world where Blockbuster and flip phones still existed

Really looking forward to the Black Panther video. Mostly because I think it'll be funny to have Namor at the villain's table getting comparisons to Black Manta.

I really liked that Flight of the Valkyries was playing in the opening scene. Also, the Aliens reference at the end was pretty nice too, even though it would be bad news for the people on Pandora.

If HISHE makes remastered for old video, that's mean the movie is still *CANON* 🗿🔥
