I've watched a lot of videos about biblically accurate angels, and this is probably the best one I've seen. Most videos about this aren't actually biblically accurate, but this one had a lot of good information. A couple things to note, in the bible Seraphim, Cherubim and Ophanim are never called angels (angels are messenger, as mentioned in the video, but these creatures never deliver messages. They have different jobs) . It was medieval theologians who called them angels and came up with the angelic hierarchy.

The word Seraphim actually means poisonous snake, usually a cobra, and in Egyptian mythology, they were seen as guardians of the gods. The ancient Jews seemed to take this image, and swap out the Egyptian gods for the God of Israel. There are even seals from Isaiah's time that depicts God surrounded by snakes. This may also shed some light on why Satan is depicted as a snake in Genesis.

The word Ophanim is not actually in the bible, but the wheels within wheels seem to be part of the Cherubim in Ezekiel's vision. The four faces of the Cherubim (man, lion, calf, and eagle) seem to reference the four cardinal zodiac signs (Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, and Scorpio which was an eagle before it was a scorpion) as the vision was had in Babylon, and the zodiac was important to the Babylonians. As for the eyes, here's a quote that I found interesting.

"The ancients called stars 'eyes', and thought them to be living entities. Constellated stars called 'full of eyes' were perceived as animate beings like person or animals. Since Ezekiel sees all four constellations moving at once, his vantage point was high above the entire cosmos, . Ezekiel is describing the heavenly throne chariot of Yahweh." - John J. Pilch

The wheels within wheels may then represent the celestial sphere. Ezekiel's vision then shows how the zodiac (something that was thought to control people's lives) and all the stars, the entire cosmos, serves God.

The four living creatures in Revelation seem to be a mixture of the Seraphim and Cherubim, perhaps showing that they aren't actually different creatures, or maybe that Seraphim is more like a species name, and Cherubim is more of a job title.

The way they are so inhuman is comforting in a way. It’s a way of showing they are so much more powerful than ourselves, taking forms almost impossible for us to comprehend. Beautiful, in a strange way.
