I think more people will buy this set than expected, because a BD droid showed up with Mando, and it seems like Disney is wanting to put it in more shows. Only thing that I wish the set had was different colors for the lights on the back to signify health (green, yellow, red) like BD1 does in the game

Love that he really looks just like a BD1 model, not a lego BD1 model. At a glance I wouldn't even guess that it's a lego build!

I think that the Mantis would make a good may 4th UCS set in 2023 to continue the theme and tie it in with the Jedi Survivor game coming out around then

Despite the expose technic on the legs, I think this is a beautiful set. Especially for the line of droid sets with R2-D2, D-O and BB-8. I loved playing Fallen Order and quickly fell in love with BD-1 so when this set was announced and released, it was a MUST HAVE for me! 👍🏻

Honestly this year's summer wave has been my favorite of recent years- all the sets have incredible designs and great minifigs, the price is the one thing that just haunts this wave lol

My one wish was for them to have some knee posability because one of the best parts of BD-1 in game was how expressive his animations made him, to the point I kept being reminded of when my blue heeler was a pup, idk why that always popped into my head but it did

It’s weird that the bd1 droid showed up in The Mandalorian but they chose to base it off Jedi Fallen Order which they said they would never do.

I've been waiting for your review of this. They probably realized BD-1 was as family-friendly as could possibly be so had no reason not to produce a set. I agree that the legs needed more posability and the stim canisters weren't implemented as well as they could've been. I'm so glad this set isn't affected by the price hikes but it's really weird to see R2-D2 be more than twice as expensive now. Hopefully I can get this on sale sometime soon. Until then I'll hype for it every time I see it in the store.
