Dan, please start using the phrase "soaring out of the EU" in your TV interviews.

There is no such thing as "no deal". We leave with WTO rules which is in effect what we were promised in the infamous Government leaflet sent to all households in 2016.

I absolutely agree, and constituencies should hold their MPs to account (as was going to happen to Anna Soubry). I can recall no such other occasion where such behaviour would have been acceptable, or even commended in some instances. We should get out on 29th March and be reasonable on both sides. WTO tariffs are out today, and much of the other stuff is already done.

What we should do now is leave without a deal on the 29th or sooner, then on the 30th lower or eliminate VAT, lower corporation tax, raise minimum wage, and let the EU implode, especially now that Germany and France have decided to merge their parliaments.

Its as if Scotland had voted for independence, only for Scots voters to be told it was impossible.

That's why I'll not be voting Tory or Labour at the next election. It's time for change

The UK would be truly lost without the sound, rational and pragmatic voice of Daniel.
I’ve been an outspoken supporter of his for many years; long before Brexit was even a thing.
I’ve never come across anybody, in the realm of politics or otherwise, who is consistently proven to be correct in everything that he says and does. That is one of the greatest measures of any man, I’m certain.
I can only hope that we still manage to find our way out of the malodorous cesspit that is the EU. Please keep doing what you’re doing, Dan. We need you now more than ever.

Excellent points, well made (as usual).

Leave on Mar 29. Win independence first. Fix any problems later.

May never wanted Brexit, I cannot believe they ever made a Remainer PM during this crucial time.

Looking at this from the outside, leaving this month seems like an easy option and easily the best I might add.

"Well Mr Barnier, Sir, of course we won't be leaving the EU. I will have to make a few speeches saying that Brexit means Brexit, and of course I will pay generous lip service to democracy and to keeping our promises to implement the result. This will be neccessary because unfortunately the British people are rather too attached to their traditions of freedom. In the meantime you and I can waste a few years coming up with a deal which is acceptable to no one, the public will become alternately angry and bored, I'll rev the BBC up to represent our view only, and then we can rely upon my fellow parliamentarians, who are as contemptuous of the people as you and I, to bin the whole idea." "Good strategy Theresa, get on with it " "Yes sir, right away Sir, sorry to have taken up so much of your time Sir..."

Any extension should go past the 23-26 May. That way we get to elect MEPs for another 5 years. Of what ilk do you think they will be? Remainer or leaver?

Hi Daniel.
Thanks for all the down to earth, common sense vids you give over the years.
Please can you tell me in simple terms the two following questions.
Does Switzerland pay, and how much, to EU?
How many of ECJ, Single Market, Customs union directives do they obey?

Thanks Dan. For the Tories to keep re-testing May's deal expecting a different outcome is MADNESS as you know. She is finished. So are the Tories...<edit> unless you throw your hat in the ring.

The most chilling thing is, it makes it seem naïve to have assumed that recovering sovereignty from the EU involved giving it back to Parliament.

When one considers the prevailing views of the MPs there, they are practically one and the same thing.

A sobering thought indeed.

Getting royally fucked off with the hand wringing now. Let’s get the job done!

Implement everything in the withdrawal agreement aside from te backstop? Does that mean giving the EU 39b£? Implementing the common rule book? Giving away our fisheries?
How exactly do we decide our tariff schedule if we are part of their « custom partnership »?

This makes no sense at all!

Well said Daniel, incisive and succinct as usual. If only you had been heading up the negotiations with a Leaver inclined prime minister to back you up, this mess would never have happened.

29th. March is the date when the UK leaves the EU. That is the law.
