The one thing I dislike about these so called documentaries about the Maya civilization is that they just mention mexico when talking about Maya civilization when in fact the Maya civilization started in Guatemala, where there are the largest Mayan pyramids, oldest Mayan pyramids, first Maya writing, oldest Maya ceramics, and so and so. Even in this documentary they said that 60, 000 new Maya buildings were found using lidar imaging, they purposely avoid saying those 60, 000 structures are in Guatemala, and right away show a map with the word mexico on it. They show a map of pre colonial times and yet on that map of Mesoamérica they have the territory of what today is mexico in bold letters yet the other Mesoamérican countries on that same map are just shown as green territory and from what I know mexico like the other Mesoamérican countries did not have country names at that time. I'm not hating on mexico, but Guatemala is known as "The heart of the Maya civilization, Guatemala the cradle of the Maya civilization".

Here, I am getting annoyed at the restrictions on exploring, excavating, or extracting some of this evidence.

It is known and proven that some Mayan peoples did migrate to the lesser Antillies... blending in with the Arawak and Carrib Indigenous... that also had migrated from South America...as for the Cherokee and some Choctaw and others of the Southeast and east all having similar dna...is those groups actually come from the southern regions and migrated north.
The Carrib and "Taino"/Arawak peoples had huge trade canoes and some of their peoples lived in Florida and went on up into Georgia... they have cousin Tribes all in the Coastal South...
It shouldn't be such a surprise. All of these different nations traveled far and wide by huge canoes...carrying up to 100 plus. And average would be about 80 on an ocean long distant trade Canoe. Look at a map... The Indigenous peoples sharing the Carribean sea is north east South American coast to the lesser Antilles Islands and Central American coast and South to South Eastern American coast and Floirda... I mean really!! It's pretty obvious. And not to mention there are a ton of Mayan people throughout Mayan country...still speak their languages and know their stuff. And so do Tribes in Florida who can tell you who came and went and who absorbed. What also can tell you is the common creation story coming from Caves and cave systems...and music and rituals. Yes related...relatives and they traveled and settled many times over. Hope this helps. Next time go speak with the living to help you with their own history.

I’m curious to find out if archaeologists have searched the area they discovered, and found the pyramid and artifacts from the Mayans who settled on Robert’s Island, Florida. Hope they make a part 2 soon.

I have lived in the area of Newnans lake for 28 years. I have never heard of this in this area. I grew up near the everglades in south Florida. I new many Seminole and Mykasuky Indians. Never heard of the Miya. In Florida. And I'm a history buff.

There are quite a few places in Florida and closest states that start with or use part of the name Maya. Miami is one.

I can’t believe they found evidence of the world’s oldest civilization!

These guys never find anything on any of their videos.

They half-ass search, only listen to things that fit what they want, jump to conclusions, and never find anything.

The Mayan people are still here. They were just relocated and labeled as an incorrect name. For example, visit Guatemala and see the how proud they are of their culture❤️ I couldn’t even watch this, talking about “where’d they go!?” Smh

I'm surprised you didn't investigate the sunken pyramids off the coast of north Cuba...

I do enjoy watching, because I do learn a few things. That said, the whole premise is that these guys are putting together all this info is funny... as they are doing it by talking to experts who already know what they are "researching"...

Mayan civilization dates from millennia after Sumer.

The elephant in the room: The codex was written AFTER the fall of the Maya? How could that be? If anything it shows where the Maya are FROM. Where was the book found in Florida where they ended up? No, or else there wouldnt be a mystery. So they find the codex that originally escaped the horrible Spanish book burning (centuries after it was written) indicating the voyage TO America (Land of the Feathered Serpent) not From? Someone help me understand.
