How to: Add Pants Pockets to Fake Seams

Why does women's clothing have pants with fake pockets? There are seams but nothing underneath. I've heard plenty of women complain about this, but I couldn't find anywhere online instructions on how to fix the issue. If you've ever been frustrated with pants that look like they have pockets but don't, ladies, this is for you.

It took me a while to find skinny jeans that I actually liked. The only downside was no front pockets. Since I couldn't find a pattern online, I made one. Problem solved.

THANK YOU for this! I recently bought 2 pairs of amazing high-waisted jeans, and didn't realize that they didn't have front pockets until I got home and tried to put my hand in.
I've been searching all over the internet for how to add pockets, and all I was getting was tutorials on how to make jeans from scratch, or how to replace the pocket fabric.
I'm definitely going to try this out. I was going to just wing it, but seeing that this worked for you gives me hope that I won't ruin my jeans :D

This video is great! Thanks for making it. I recently got some jeans and didn’t realise till I got home that they didn’t have front pockets, I hate that! Weird thing is, they have back pockets...I’d much rather have front pockets than back ones.
