For the past 9 months of my life I've been suffering from depression.
Since the start of my junior year in last August I met a girl that I ended up falling in love for. I knowed her for 3 months and woke up that morning realizing I loved the way she smiles, laughs, and looks you straight in the eyes while talking to you. It blew me away that someone like her existed and would even pay attention to me. I never had the balls to tell her anything, I either sit and listened to her or just did my work because I was always speechless. Day after day, week after week, I would watch these videos and think of ways I could just tell her how I feel.
So I did it.
I told her everything.
I told her that she's beautiful. That her smile was enough to change my day into something better. I told her my heart, then walked away. Stupid me. Turns and walks away.
It's been 9 months since I met this girl. 2 days ago was when I spilled my feelings.
My anxiety telling me to quit trying and my depression telling me to stop living. About 4 months in I had it decided that if the pain gets any worse to just end it. End me. Stop what hurts for good. Music and inspirational things like these is the only reason I sit and thought about what I would leave behind and it wouldn't be worth it. Depression for these 9 months is now gone. I now eat again. I smile once more. It all changed just today.
As I laid in my room with the lights off, my music was interrupted to a notification saying the words of "I love you more then life itself."
It hit me.
Hard.
I wasn't ready to be hit with something like that. I wasn't prepared for the girl of my dreams to say those words to me. But she did. I haven't been relieved for months and I forgot how it felt. I would sit and tell myself everyone was lying when they said it gets better. Don't say that to yourself. It gets better. Life keeps going on but just becuase something is wrong doesn't mean you'll be left behind. Keep smiling. Even if it's a fake smile. Through all your pain, fake smile until it becomes real. What you do through pain will benefit others and you notice it. You're actually helping someone becuase you have a smile on your face. If you're thinking of suicide or hurting yourself, think about this before you do anything: would that persons day still be ruined if they didn't see me smile?
Don't think like I did. You could've been the only person to smile that day, but it made someone else feel better at one point.
