Logitech MX Master 3 is the best option for a mouse on a Mac. It has a gesture button so you can use it for the majority of the gesture functionality of the Magic Mouse in a form factor that is actually comfortable, plus it also works on PC. Can charge while in use too.

Also, for Apple gesture support the magic trackpad is actually good.

I appreciate the honesty in this video. I was a long time user of the 1st generation magic mouse, it was slightly better ergonomically but you are correct the 2nd generation Magic Mouse is absolutely atrocious to use as a daily driver.

I was confronted by this mouse when I was engineering a session at a recording studio that used Macs. It made using a familiar piece of software, Cubase, a nightmare to use. I struggled with the thing for the two day session and ended up mixing the album in my own studio simply because of that f%&king ridiculous mouse. I'll also add that the Apple fan boys I've mentioned this to have gone off the deep end trying to defend the thing. One of them went as far to say he was proud to be a part of the Apple community. Folks, if you think that being indoctrinated into a massive corporation's dedicated user base makes you part of 'community', you really need to take a look at your life choices.

So, a rather interesting story about this stupid product. A friend of mine is employed at a workplace where they exclusively use Mac's, their business/their IT does not allow the use of Windows based devices (for some reason that has never been explained). My mate tells me that they have to exclusively use Apple hardware (i.e. peripherals) and if anyone is caught using non-Apple stuff (i.e. bringing your own peripherals in), they get pulled up by management because of it (a very weird situation I know). In the 2-3 years of him working there, he has developed severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in his right hand and he's been told that his tendons will never heal properly if he continues, it's completely ruin him with no hope of healing. He told his employer this and they said that he still must continue to use the damn Magic Mouse. He's now having to take legal action against his employer because of this. It's the most fucking idiotic situation I've seen.

Actually really enjoyed this: the tone and pacing were great in that it didn't seem like you were taking yourself too seriously while getting the point across and while there is more than enough negativity on the internet, the inclusion of a four-year-old disagreeing with you pulls it all out of the nose-dive and gives it all a good balance. But I think that's a key piece: someone less technical giving a candid opinion that runs contrary to the main video.
