Awesome Georgia County district attorney is in awesome example of these tactics.. witnesses fell into the ' traps', and excited the exact characteristics described. Nice job. Thanks

These 'loaded' questions - 'you did, didn't you?' 'You didn't, did you?' are regarded as 'leading' questions, and are often dismissed by the judge. This discredits the cross-examining lawyer in the eyes of the jury, and so aren't used as 'courtroom tactics' as much in modern courts of law.

Excellent. One of the most concise, memorable and impactful videos on cross-examination

Lawyers are just actors, some who are extremely proficient in their craft. As long as they fill their grubby little pockets, they couldn't give a damn if their client is guilty or innocent.
This often results in justice not being served to those guilty of their crimes because often, being a witnesses first time in court, they are not used to going through a barrage of trick questions by experienced lawyers trying to destroy their credibility.
All very unfair, unjust and an absolute disgrace on the justice system...

All a person has to do is to say NO when opposing counsel makes these unfounded statements!

Great closing. Thoughtful video and one people should aspire to be very aware of in case they face a murky case they might be involved in or around.

I've always been amused by how lawyers phrase questions in the negative and then treat an affirmative answer as an affirmation of the positive. Logically, "isn't that true?" asks the opposite of "is that true?".

I'm looking seriously to make a groundbreaking film. Your video has shown me exactly how I must shoot the "in the docks" scene. Brilliant, thank you, I'm loving your videos, really well explained for us non-lawyers, thank you x

I don't make a credible witness in court due to me having mental health ussues how do i turn that into my favor in family courts

A good defense attorney would not allow opposing counsel to paint his client that way and sway the jury or judge to think his client is not creditable! The knife cuts both ways!

Total lack of consideration for people who can’t remember on the spot due to mental fatigue caused by lawyer interrogation, non-linear questioning and pre-existing mental health conditions. No understanding of human behaviour… Don’t assume everyone is greedy and shallow as you!

thanks for the educative video, but it would have been better to turn down the volume of the background tune, it was partially hard to understand the narration

Please help me:
1. My wife who I still love filed for an order of protection and then divorce, at the command of her mother and sister who hate me.
2. I submitted texts showing love and friendship for weeks before she went to her sister's and wrote the OP. My wife's lawyer had this exhibit for 1 month before the hearing.
3. At the OP hearing held via Zoom, my wife's lawyer surprised the court with a text alleging I called my wife a b and an ah the night before she filed.
4. I said I did not send those texts, but the judge said she did not believe me and ejected me for 1 year.
5. Now, my wife and her lawyer are in a panic because I filed a motion for sanctions towards her lawyer for submitting false evidence. They are panicking because they know I can prove this at an upcoming hearing.

I need help because I so desparately do not want to see my wife get in trouble. Submitting a false exhibit is an automatic felony.

What should I do?

Very good. One weakness is the use of foreign images, mainly american. If you are targeting an American audience, that's fine. You also used "the stand" which is not an English term. In a hearing I attended recently a Lawyer used that term but the Barrister picked up on that and used it to discredit the witness evidence. Also the Gavel is not used in England and these days is rarely used in the US. I liked all your cross examination tips though
