Well, thank you both for that. I recently discovered this song and also black gospel from the 30s and onward. I especially like the Hamonizing Four (out of Richmond, Va) with their bass lead. They are wonderful and there are many other really super groups. A young man named Kendall Kent on his Youtube ch. has been promoting gospel groups of that era.

To the comment about why Christianity has not done more good, i would say that it has done a lot of good, but we humans are a contentious species. There's great beauty in us but also great confusion, thus our dilemma. Music is a gift from G-d, by whatever name you want to call him/her.

We are all pilgrims seeking the holy land. Bless all who seek G-d and also seek peace.

Yes it is for all mankind... wonderful song and thank you for sharing this info... there are many secrets to our faith on the east side of the Jordan...Gad and Ruben, our lost tribes, were hit the hardest. They were forced to leave and have found new homes throughout history. The song is touching and really brings us all back to Christ...

Beautiful song. Another great presentation of the song is by the Oakwood College singers. You will enjoy hearing the singers as well as seeing them.

Note “Why has Christianity done so little good in the world?”
