Logical Song is one of the most perfect pop songs of all time, it hasn't lost a fibre of substance or soulfulness in all these years

The Logical Song pretty much explains all of our problems. When I was kid hearing this brought tears to my eyes because I realized I wasn't crazy and I wasn't alone in all of this.

I always loved Supertramp growing up but never quite realized this man's genius. I do now!

That was absolutely precious! Roger said these songs are his babies, his children. Yes! Thank you Roger for your service to humanity. Love how you shine your light!

Blows my mind how many incredible songwriters hail from a tiny little island in the North Atlantic.

Roger Hodgson is such a deep guy. I could listen to him speak all day.

POWERFUL STATEMENT, "we are taught how to perform and focus on the outside and we ignore the inside of our lives"

Crime of the Century and Breakfast in America still remain significant pieces of musical accomplishment.

Pulls out a perfectly tuned 12 string guitar in the woods, magic!

My parents also divorced when I was 11, and I've not seen my dad in about 35 years. He didn't leave me a guitar, but he did leave behind some vinyl, among which was "Breakfast in America", an album I have loved ever since.

When he sits down at the piano and rattles out his songs like that, it really makes you realise what a class act he is.

I had no idea Roger was such a deeply spiritual person. It's something I've honestly missed in music since John Denver passed away. So this will give me the best excuse to listen to more of his songs.

I was sent off to boarding school, in 1978, at the age of 8 for 10 years.
So, as you can imagine, I have always identified with the sentiment in the song.

That moment you realize that musicians are really just philhopsophers with instruments.

It’s a rare gift to be able to take a complex idea or emotion, and then distill it down into a song that others can hear and be made to feel understand what the artist was trying to convey. Roger has that gift.

This song reminds me of my childhood and when I was older and understand the lyrics, I realised it was about my life. My mother screaming I had to be realistic and not a dreamer, that I should learn at school, and not just staring out of the window in my schoolclass. That I had to stop dreaming and fantasising, but be rational and for Gods sake study for a job to earn a living.
My parents were desperate that I never find a job. So I did my best, with ups and lots of downs, learnt to be a nurse, earnt money, got realistic and wasnt feeling happy at all.

Long story short, I couldn’t work anymore as a nurse because of a disease, and finally find my old self again. Now I dance, I sing, I sell my art and feel that that is who I am.

I love this song more than I can describe. Breakfast in America is a masterpiece of an album.
