Diving has a popular saying: Plan your dive and dive your plan. This is because any slight error or technical difficulty can lead to death. I feel like climbing should have the exact same warning: Plan your climb, climb your plan. Do not rely on a rope you did not inspect and purchase yourself from a store that you know is not second-hand, and if you suddenly find you have to, back out until you get a replacement and go back later. It's not worth it. Same for if you end up trying for the summit too late in the day. WAIT, or try again a different day/season.

Imagine the joy of staying on the flat bits of the earth and living to 3/4 of a hundred years and all things considered I might just make it for another 20 years. Mountains are lovely to look at from the bottom :)

3:19 my goodness🤯 it obviously takes nerves of titanium to climb a vertical sheet of ice, ramming a grappling hook into the ice to ascend like this.
I’ve always wondered; how does one know how strong such a massive sheet of ice is? How can you know it will hold your weight and not crack with every swing of the grappling hook

I couldn't believe someone caught his entire "Grand Tour" fall on camera. That really caught me off guard. I'd never seen it before on any videos, not to mention the short 15 minute type.

Can anyone confirm that this was his actual fall, or some other poor unlucky b*st*rd's?

So, he wanted to do a climb no one had done before. Now he’s dead. I hope it was worth it!

Who made thus.
It was narrated so stupidly.
Yezha was a good Climber.
He was a trail blazer
He was a pioneer.
He claimed mountains well.
He made it up lots of mountains.
This made him a good climber.
He was great climber.
He made great achievements.
This made him a great climber.

I’d be more impressed if these guys were doing this for a useful purpose, for training to be an elite solider at the ready to perform elite tasks for their countries. But no, for most it’s just a high . A really stupid risky one . Most to selfish to give themselves to anything purposeful, and then sad for the families that suffer from the many losses 😢
