I like this guy when ever you watch these types of videos people tell you to go slow this guy said just jump into with both feet

Exactly the same for me bro. But that's how I ended up becoming a solo climber. No one to hold you back, no one to ruin your climb. It's kind of nice in retrospect. Try it out on a easy class I or II climb and see how you like it, you might get hooked.

Here in the Pacific Northwest where mountains are easily available many people are weekend mountaineers. You don't have to climb eight-thousanders to be a 'mountaineer'.

Lots of people talking about going to the Himalayas that's cool and all if you want that and can afford it but I would be satisfied with climbing some peaks around my area in the Pacific Northwest

My only question is, how do people pay for these expeditions. The expensive ones. Vinson, Everest etc are NOT CHEAP expeditions!!!!

join a group, I have the same problem. you're odds are much higher of finding an adventure buddy if the group is dedicated to outdoors stuff. No promises unfortunately.

He is amazing, but Men's Journal is the worst reference possible. They know less than nothing of climbing. A few years ago, for humorous purposes only, I actually saved a copy of an article the journal published to explain climbing for beginners. It totally abused and misused climbing terminology for an explanation that was best not published.
