Thanks for Check out my Flipping a Chevrolet Silverado Series!
I picked up this 2004 Silverado work truck for 1600$ and plan on repairing what is needed and trying to sell it for a profit.
In this Episode I find out where the exhaust has been leaking in a unique way. #silverado #flippingaSilverado

STRAIT TO THE POINT! No bunch of bs or off topic chatter to wade through here before seeing what you came for. Wish all DIY videos were like this one. ★★★★★

Dude seems like he is hella chill or hella high. Regardless it’s a great idea I will be trying very soon.

Worked like a charm! Had been chasing a tiny leak in a new set of headers, this showed it quickly.

Well I started the video, hit pause right away, ran in the house and hit the bowl a couple times, resumed video...I felt the need to be higher so I can be as laid back as you, great video but I'll try it tomorrow cuz I'm not looking to fix shit at the moment

Other method to use while truck is running, and if you have decent hearing is use a hose like a stethoscope but hold the hose near manifold not on it. Or just take a huge bong rip and blow it on the exhaust manifold and see the leak is blowing the smoke, then promptly forget which side.

I've watched 5 or 6 videos on "Finding Exhaust Leaks" before this video and and they all used this method but this is the only one that actually showed the wetting and the bubbles so we know what it looks like. Damn cool rock music to boot!

After the first few seconds, you already know where your head should be, you got less than 5 min to get there. Seriously, you saved me a massive amount of frustration🤣🤣

H2 same ticking starts/ stops after running a while ... engine light on, put gas in on a fill up takes a long time to start, two mechanics say smoke leak detection test needed ... no engine performance issues ... codes P0496, 442, 455, 449 flow, small leak, large leak, solenoid....then I had a problem ticking sound on highway months later would not go above x3000rpm couldn't go faster than 35 mph. Codes P0700 transmission +P0752 shift solenoid valve stuck on. So changed the transmission fluid.. ran fine after that ...one place told me I needed a 4500$ to 5100$ trasmission fix .... I think the ticking sound just as you described it and the codes seem to suggest the same ....
