As a South Carolinian, there is no such law in this state, nor has there ever been.

There is usually a clause in a rental agreement that says occupants MUST let people into the home for repairs and to show the house. They don’t have a right to keep you out.

Give them 24 hours' notice that you are going to inspect the property.

We just recently sold a renter house, and we have evicted more renters for telling us we were not allowed in the house.

You should have a clause in the contract about right to enter.

It is happening in California. Renters are stonewalling sales.

I’m with Dave here. It’s BS. Sounds like the tenants are just mad that they are going to have to move once it’s sold.

This is one of the many reasons I’m so glad to be a homeowner.

Clueless homeowner doesn't even know what her lease agreement says.

In my state you have to give a renter at least 24 hours notice and it has to be in writing.

Once you do that you can go into the property at the time and day stated on the letter.

If the renter changed the locks on you without giving you a key you can evict them.

DO NOT SELL TO AN INVESTMENT GROUP!!! I know finding a realtor and finding a buyer whom would pay as much would be a pain. If you sell to a investment group though your helping this nation get one more step closer to being a renters nation.

This is where getting a doctors letter saying those tenants are of high risk and compromised immune systems would be requested but I doubt that's legal either

Wait until December and refuse to renew the lease and make them move ... then start the process. Please don’t sell to big investment groups.

Ask them to take the pictures and forward to you, specify what you need to see... if they say no then you know there’s most likely issues with the interior of the house.

Smh the title ave me a headache glad I'm selling my NC rental. Long as you give them notice you can enter your property for reasonable inspection. Every lease has this language well most. Says this NC attorney.
