Giants Frozen in Time by Ovid

Giants are seen in the most unusual poses. It seems Medusa Head stories were true. I understand the chemistry of biology and these creatures were once alive.

This is the Giant of Monterosso of Italy. Supposedly built in the early 1900s near the sea shore. I am no Anthropologist, but seems older than that…

Here is a quote from southern california natives that mentions a giant being flash

"Then Tukupar stood behind Dakwish, who was sitting with his head bowed. He signed to a man with a heavy war-club of oak (dadabish), and the man hit him on the back of the neck and knocked him down. Then they killed him.

They threw him outside and he turned to rock. He is there still (sic). Two men carried him (sic) to Pakhavkhau, north of Elsinore. There they laid him down, covered him with wood, and burned him. Then one said: "Light the fire while I go to drink." Then the other lit the wood and then he too went to drink. When Dakwish began to burn it thundered. There was a great noise and an explosion. Fire flew about and Dakwish flew home like a star. The men said: "There he is flying! He has gone away!" They were sitting at the spring. Dakwish's liver is now a rock at that place. In this way Dakwish went home."


The Natives know the history and interacted with giants but their songs of history seem lost. Each tribe had songs that were the oral history they would pass down, the songs were like pieces of a big history puzzle from my research and were sacred to the tribes.

Thanks to the person in the comments section below who mentioned the second giant in the above clip is the Apennine Colossus in Florence.

I have searched ‘Giant’ Frozen in Time by Ovid’ and I cannot fine out anything about the first giant mentioned in this video clip. Seems also that no one else in the comments section can identify it.

Would be good Roger, if you make a video about giant statues, you tell us where they are!

If you google the first one, he looks to be put there. As if he was beaten and hung up there to die...
As I look at most of these petrified giants, stories just play in my head of how they lived, why they are there etc etc
In school “Greek mythology” was always so interesting to me. It blows my mind to realize it’s truth hidden in plain site.

The first "Giant" is a statue that was made of concrete. Since concrete is not strong enough structurally by itself it needs a "skelleton" inside to carry the shell. For this artwork the Italian artist chose to use anatomically correct structures inside obviously - for whatever reason. Maybe he wanted it to look realistically even when parts of it would eventually fall off? Its not always the petrification of live giants - although in some cases (for some statues) it might be actually true.

I have a question guys. What would cause flash petrification? That some of these stories say giants got flash petrified? Is the Gorgon head a technology we have not discovered yet.
