Old news and most of the people come to England now from Hong Kong because of the CCP so the British couldn't have been that bad to them. 😢

Somewhat incorrect. Hong Kong island was ceded in perpetuity. Is was the new territory that was leased for 99 years.

Its worth noting too, that parliament was pretty unhappy with the acquisition.
