I personally see the “wanting to vent” thing as wanting the feeling of being loved and cared for to counterbalance the bad feelings that came from the actual event, and then solutions can come once said bad feelings have dissipated.

My partner and I are just finding you, we have spent the last 6 years struggling and uneducated! We are trying to figure out if he’s autistic or if what the doctors diagnosed him with BPD and ADHD…. Is true. We definately would appreciste your help if possible. We have 4 children as well! So thankful for your videos either way!

Omgoodness!!! My NT spouse and I awe watching this NOW. I watched it live. Today my husband asked, “ does Orien have anything new lately?” 😅. This is such beneficial information 🎉. We are pausing, laughing, talking. Most importantly we are gaining greater understanding. After 44 yrs together we need this Orien!!! You are a beautiful and valuable asset to this community and our partners. When you say you do not want to see me unmasked…. I feel you and my husband has new respect and understanding of my strength and struggles. ThankYou from both of us❣️❣️❣️. Edit- laughing at ourselves because you called it perfectly. We are text book. Appreciate your directness. 👍🏻

Definitely relate to the card and gift giving, although in recent years I think I’ve been too burnt out to make cards and go shopping, so I haven’t been able to do it as much, also having more trouble keeping track of dates.

My N/T partner is being bullied by a narcissist at work and he’s told me about this many times. Well, enough is enough. I’ve told him that he is a coward for not standing up for himself and I would go down to his office and sort this out. He isn’t a coward, just a kind gentle soul. I cannot stand bullying of any kind, especially towards someone I care for. This is how I show I love him. And thank you Orion, I feel you are connecting.

I definitely prefer a quiet display of affection to loud OTT displays!! Interesting video, thank you 💚

I found it! Good show. Make sure you share the exact name of one show on the other channel to get more hits.

I'm definitely saving this video to show future romantic partners!
The biggest way I show love is through parallel play. Even if I'm feeling extremely clingy and needy, I will typically express that to my loved ones by sitting so close that our bodies are physically touching, but will still completely ignore them and do my own thing. Nearly everyone who I've loved the most authentically and autistically has lashed out at me and accused me of being unloving. As a child, this was deeply traumatic and confusing. It took me over 20 years to accept that my love language is not "wrong, " but is heavily misunderstood and needs to be explained to neurotypicals in order for my emotions to be read correctly.

I'm acts of service typically brining food treats grooming mani/pedicure back scratching little things that help with minor iritations. I also try to fix problems before they know that there is a problem.

19:55 lol

34:57 YES! The part that hurt was my partner asking me to mask a little for him. Because the real me is less pleasant and cheerful.

39:56 yes I do that with gifts and cards I fill a card

41:35 thanks I love you sir.

Me (adhd) and my partner (asd) parallel play all the time!
We do it when we're together on the weekend, and we also game online during the weekdays. We get on discord and jump in a call, he plays his game and I watch, and I play my own game and we chat about the games (usually his but I like it, it's his info dump)

I am in love with an autistic man and he is also in love with me, but when we are close he gets nervous and runs away. I don't know how to approach him, I don't know what to do. I also get nervous and remain speechless. I don't know what to do. I know I should approach him, but I don't know what to say to him. I don't want to scare him. Can you help me? What do I do and what do I say to him? Everyday pass by I love him more🫣

I'm less than halfway through and this makes absolute sense to me 25 mins later: Yup, still all makes sense to me. The to and from w/ the xoxos is so lazy! Thank gosh my husband doesn't do that! 😂

I work with two autistic people in autistic. I find it so hard to even speak to them one of them hasn’t really uttered 2 words to me in nearly 5 years . She speaks to everyone else but not me . And I just don’t like the other one she’s not a nice person.
