To those that struggle with only 2-3 leaves on Alocasia: You are not fertilizing them enought. Alocasias need a bit more nutrients. So if your arent fertilizing them on a regular basis or at least when they push a new leave they just take all the nutrients from the oldest leave and pump it into the new one. The old leave dies cause of that.

I appreciate that whenever you refer to south or north, for those of us in the northern hemisphere, you make a point of reminding us that it’s the reverse here. Which I already knew personally, but I could see where it could be confusing to some folks.

What would be even more helpful, would be if whenever you referenced temperature you threw text on the screen with the conversion to Fahrenheit! I feel like every single time I have to pause the video and look it up 😂. Same with centimeters versus inches, also that doesn’t seem to come up as often.

But, regardless, I love your videos, and appreciate learning from you!

Jan, I totally understand the need to cut back some large plants! I have a small apartment and I have a few plants that I chopped to start again and share with friends. Trying to enjoy my plants to the fullest and make sure it’s still fun and easy for me to care for them. Thanks for the tour 🪴💚🪴 Also, I love the idea of the plants” having a good time” Really like that phrase! 🎉🎉🎉

All of your plants look amazing, you really have talent in growing beautiful plants. Having the outside space was worth the move in my opinion. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Yes! Just what I needed on this gloomy Tuesday! I always get so happy when I get the notification about a new SPG video. Thank you so much for the great content, you have inspired and taught me so much

Your entire space is beautiful Jan! You really have a talent for decorating and arranging. I get the leaf facing the wrong way woes, its drives me crazy too! I know how hard it is to arrange a lot of plants in a small space. You would have gotten bored in the old place eventually, showing the same plants over and over. I must have a Cuprea now !!!😍Yours is gorgeous!

Ahhh so glad I’m not the only one who loves rearranging rooms. It is like having a whole new space

I can feel the lively atmosphere and the garden space just being it’s own happy home with you and Brad helping it grow and thrive during your new journey! Thanks for sharing and for just being you cuz you’re awesome!!

OMG....your plants give me life!!! I want to have your type of "plant concerns" regarding the leaves being too big now lol. Your plants look amazing and I do understand what you are saying regarding the look of the leaves as the plant matures. Thanks for sharing, I watched the full video.

Just wanted to say: don't be too concerned if the pitcher plants doesn't make new pitchers on the next few leaves. They need a while to acclimate to room humidity and will often focus on the leaves for a month or two and not inflate the little pitcher buds on the tendrils. As long as it has enough light (and the LEDs will definitely provide that) it will start making them again.

I love waking up to a new video drop from you & getting a plant tour. Starts my day off perfectly. Looks like you wake up to your such a magnificent view out of your bedroom window. I finally found a place in the US that had GT Foliage Focus in stock & started watering with it last week. Now if the US would gets some clear nursery pots! Great video Jan…have a great day.

Love the view of the moss poles (office) from the courtyard! Some of your plants have reached their peak and would be good in a museum while you work on begonias, carnivores & spider plants😀. Thanks for sharing Jan!

Of course the place and the plants are looking good (we won’t talk about those lower verrucosum leaves 😔) but my favorite part by far is about the ikea outdoor tiles. That moment “I like it.” Wish that was a gif ! I like it too. 😊

As long as Brad is happy - that's all that matters. 😸

der Kannenpflanze kannst du Fischfutterflocken (von Zierfischen) geben oder getrocknete Mückenlarven (Zoohandlung), da vermutlich dein Dünger zu scharf für sie ist. in die Kannen streuen.

Looking forward to that review of the forest. I spotted it in your reel about uploading this vid.

I only want to say that you do a great job. You have a great personality. Your advice is sound and thoughtful. The plants that you own are a reliable testimony. They look great.

I enjoy your videos and I am not easily impressed.

Loved this long video Yan! My Oxalis is about 3 years old and it’s never gone dormant (Adelaide) and yes forever picking off the limp stems and flowers, but it keeps getting larger! 😅
