How to Show Internet Speed on Taskbar in Windows 10

So you want to monitor internet speed on taskbar in Windows 10? Not everyone has fantastic internet and some people like to monitor the sent and received data to monitor internet speeds. NetSpeedMonitor was primarily designed to run on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, but by running it in compatibility mode allows you to use the software on Windows 10.

Inaccurate description. This is "Internet Traffic", not "Internet Speed". It is not the same.

Another useful tool that I use that does the same job is "X-meters".
It has additional features like monitoring the cpu, ram n disks.

There are also XMeters and NetLimiter Pro.

Using this since the days of Windows XP. It all started when Nexus 1 came out and with the slew of apps on Google Market, network speed monitors for statusbar were quite popular. This offered the same functionality on Taskbar on Windows.

I am glad that I was finally able to upgrade my 10Mbps internet speed to 25Mbps. And then, I saw his internet speed on this video and I was like, "O-kay".

There is a small software called TrafficMonitor that is perfectly compatible with the W10, so far in all versions (I am using version 20h2) that not only allows you to show the Internet speed in the taskbar, but also allows you to add a widget in the desktop (the 2 can be used alone or together) and are still completely customizable.

Well, it’s nice to see that I’m not the only person using Norton 360! Seriously, I’ve used Symantec products for close to 20 years and always used their Norton Internet Security for all devices I’ve ever had. 100% satisfied.

Unless Microsoft builts that in Windows itself or releases official tool, I won't install anything that could potentially compromise my computer's security. Softpedia is notorious for malware and most of the tools available for free download do not even get detected and still contain malware. I don't trust Softpedia and I'd rather download from official source. Softpedia often likes to integrate free to download tools into their own installer, which is full of adware and possibly also spyware, undetected in most of virus scanners. It is interesting and certainly would be helpful for me to see an actual speed/traffic measurement, but I don't trust 3rd party software that isn't downloaded from a trusted source (which should be their own websites if I am correct). I also won't forget the one time Audacity and Classic Shell got compromised with MBR malware via hacked admin account on FossHub (which is hosting for downloads), so I always like to check the downloaded file checksum if available...

I use Networx, to check netspeed.
It was free earlier but now it is a paid soft.
Networx, shows a speed graph widget on the taskbar. Using it since XP.

Just use NetMeter EVO, I've been using since 2010. It's good and it works.

Are there any privacy concerns if the traffic logging is on?
Do they collect any data from us?

Anything similar where you can display data usage per day or whenever you reset the counter for example ?
