A brokerage account is very different from what is margin account and on the financial education channel we know this. Margin trading can be scary so be prepared and you must have a margin account to do that.

I’m new to investing. I just ran across the video, and I can’t tell you how nice it is to have someone explain things in very 1-2-3 elementary terms. Granted might not be needed, but I only had to watch your video once to render a firm grasp on this topic; before I had a general understanding and was cusping into a margin account, now I’m not certain it’s for me. Perfect! Just what I wanted to know. I recently added money back to an old brokerage account, and after reading something recently about settlement dates, I couldn't figure out why they weren't hammering me for trading every day. Well, apparentely, back in the day, I had signed up for a margin account. The margin was covering me, while the stock waited to settle.

Cash account is the safest if you want to insure yourself against owing financial institutions borrowed money. That you don't have to worry about margin calls at any point.
