Watching the capacitor move itself perfectly into position with the solder paste and some heat is so satisfying.

I don't think you used enough solder on method 2.

I did the whole pikachu face with the first one definitely going to try this !

Great video, I learned a lot of useful things

Great video! Does anyone happen to know if it's okay to bridge a capacitor or resistor since that seems quite possible using this method?

Thank you master, I also succeeded in using this method. Good 👍👍👍

Never use a soldering iron to solder SMD ceramic caps. You will crack them 100% of the time, yes- it is a certainty. There are engineering papers on this subject offered by some of the manufacturers. Ceramic is a thermal insulator (like glass). Sudden, uneven heating causes thermal stresses that lead to cracks (usually microscopic ones that cause performance and parametric degradation), which leads to failure which can sometimes be mysterious, sudden, and can take weeks, months or years.

Use hot air, a reflow oven, or similar method. If you don't believe me, look for the relevant literature. I encourage you to do that anyway.

230°C Hot-Air? I think that was 500°C so fast melting

Excelente Parabéns. Quais as ferramentas e materiais utilizados para realizar a solda desse componente mostrado no vídeo?

my smd is bad, with low air it blows away smd

Hence the need for a decent microscope... I'll use my pc for gui... 😀👍

Great 👌....method 2 is the best....but I think you are using too much flux....once you apply flux and lock one side with solder, the flux spreads throughout and hence you can directly use only solder on the other side, also the solder wire contains flux.

i don't get it. In the first example Can't the current just travel through the solder rendering the resister useless?

but wouldn't the first method cause short circuit?

The bigger the blob the better the job?

What is the size of the TIP that you used?

what temp and airflow? type 5 solder balls?

That solder blob on 2nd cap ain't good bro.

em so definitely not any IPC standards here.. what is this snowman? this is way too much solder. the first joint was perfect why did you add more, also read about what is a flux pen, you seem to be using toothpick with flux.. not very efficient use of time

Way too much flux and way too much solder.
