Science changes in the way an image changes as you increase its pixel resolution. A region that you thought was all beige becomes a mix of different colors, even though you already knew that overall it was beige (and overall it still is).

So no, old models always keep being accurate within their bounds. It’s just that the newer models cover more area. Theists try to misrepresent this progress as “changing its mind” or being “untrustworthy, ” but it simply isn’t.

Wright makes it sound like there are two categories of Biblical science claims: those that have been proven true, and those that will be proven true. He can't hide the third category from us, though. The "it's poetic"/"it's a metaphor" category is far too large to ignore.
