Celeste is UNQUESTIONABLY one of the best games I've ever played, and I IMPLORE almost anyone who's ever touched a controller to seek it out.

I’m always thinking “A video game or TV show can’t put my whole life into perspective and give me important life lessons while also having a great story” and then it just does

Celeste really is a wonderful game. The absolutely wonderful music from lena raine, the story, and that's not even mentioning the art style and the just right controls. The community is also very welcoming.

I love the part in the end credits where the two of them are just having fun bouncing on clouds

And then there’s b-side and c-side that turn it into a traditional platformer aka H E L L

I just finished celeste and wish the whole mental health and story hit me harder. This makes me appreciate it more, thank you!

it's also really cool how celeste uses a great role reversal to show how meddy has grown. in chapter 2, maddy is running away from that part of her (who i will be calling Badeline or Baddy), as she chases her down, cloning herself, becoming more overwhelming for maddy. but later in chapter 6, maddy actively chases after baddy, trying to talk to her, even as baddy lashes out to attack maddy. not only is it a wonderful representation of how it actually feels to piece yourself back together from being deep in the hole of mental illness, but it's also just fantastic in general

One of the reasons I named my daughter after her. Maddy's mum and I suffer from anxiety largely from a genetic component. We've worried she will grow struggling with these feelings, celeste is a great game and a powerful story, I loved her character, and she made me love the name.

Also hits close to home when you learn that Madeline is transgender, and her döppelganger is also an embodiment of her gender dysphoria directed from many people (including her mother) and herself, it's her own inner dialogue that she's trying to accept so she can be who she is, a woman. Nothing more, and certainly nothing less. (My interpretation being a trans girl myself)

Its not about learning how to deleter your problems its learning to live with them and dull their pain. Learning to co exist with this *part of you* that you cant quite get rid of

Bless the day my eye was caught by Celeste's cover art at GameStop. Bought it cause I'm a sucker for platformers, stayed for the life lesson (and the absolutely godlike platforming, too)

This is such a good game. It does actually everything right. Amazing story, top tier gameplay, great message, glorious art design, good amount of play time, accessibility, and has an incredible speedrun.
Edit: oh and lets not forget, the soundtrack is one of the best ive ever heard!
