I choose the Tiguan over the Rav4 because the Rav4 drove more like a "contruction" truck + the RAV4 has an old fashioned, cluncky infotainment system!

Normal transmissions makes cars feel so much faster. My dad has a '14 Nissan Murano that has a CVT and it feels so slow even though it has 260 hp.

they're nice.. i owned a couple GTIs awhile back, 96 and a 03. was really impressed how quality built the interiors were, and the 03 interior was really tight. never a rattle, so i can imagine the Tiguans are even better. VW makes some good stuff! ☮

I have a 2020 Tiguan Premium R-line, so for so good no complaints really really really hope they come out with a GLI or GTI edition 🙏🏾🙏🏾

368 thousand km mileage of my Tiguan 2018, no problem. What do you say? There is no secret - only timely maintenance. Toyota Rav4 drove 150 thousand km, the engine started pounding. Box Aisin Toyota Camry mileage 97 thousand km dealer's verdict - not subject to repair, only replacement.😂😂😂😂

Regarding the transmission. It is a dual clutch automatic isn’t it? Torque converter transmissions are entirely different

Volkswagen's fortune in America was built on unquestionable reliability and a toughness with which other car manufacturers could not compete. The original Beetle and the Super Beetle were unmatched in "fun to drive, " and attention to detail. Almost all my friends learned how to operate a manual transmission on a VW Beetle.

VW builds a performance Tiguan R (not to be confused with the R-Line), with the 300hp engine from the Golf R. But its the short wheel base which is not imported to the U.S. There are rumors the updated 2024 Tiguan R may come to the U.S. If it does, I'd buy it in a minute.

Of course, if it does, I'm sure people will then whine that is has poor fuel economy or costs too much. Speaking of sticker shock, has anybody checked out the price on a new RAV4 Prime Hybrid lately? Would you believe its 50k?
