The government has offered junior doctors a 22.3% pay rise to end strike action, Sky News understands.

The British Medical Association's (BMA) junior doctors committee has agreed to put the offer to its members, and if it is accepted it will end months of walkouts over pay.

Let’s hope they can do a five day week now, AND arrange cover at the weekends, so we can actually see a doctor!

People who actually need pay rises cant afford to go on strike.

And everybody else, on minimum wage, has no chance of holding the country to ransom.

We all have the same bills to pay, we could all say our pay has not kept up with inflation,

if my job isnt considered essential enough for a 22 percent pay rise like this then why did i have to work during the pandemic? if my job is so unessential

Pensioners have had their winter fuel payments stopped, i hope the junior doctor's remember that when they're faced with an elderly patient suffering from hyperthermia 😢

Where are they going to find the money to pay the junior doctors?
Where have they been finding the money for the year-on-year pay rise for Members of Parliament?
When was the last time an MPs pay rise was frozen?

Knew Labour would cave in. Know of a retired GP, who retired at 55. bought a detached house before selling his old one. People want to have a look at thier pension plan. They very well off. Cant stand them

Junior Doctors demand huge wage rises yet are more than happy for everyone on minimum wage or just above that they rely on (bin men, shop workers, etc etc.) to pay for it with increased taxes and/or reduced services. They are a disgrace.
