If the last coin was heavier then there will be two aspects to explain it .
I) Energy aspect : If the last coin was heavier then essentially the normal force will be heavier and due to which there would be greater frictional force on the last coin .The greater frictional force will do a greater amount of negative work as compared to the normal case and most of the last coin's kinetic energy would have got converted into the internal energy of surface and the coin itself and therefore the coin's speed would have reduced or it would not at all move . Also since the mass of coin is greater the kinetic energy given by the previous coin would not have increase the velocity at much extent .
ii) Laws of motion aspect : If the last coin would have been heavier then the inertia will be greater and the acceleration that would get produced due to net force ( i.e., contact force by other coin and frictional force) will be less . Therefore the coin would move with less velocity or will not move at all.

Momentum, P= m × v and conservation of momentum is m¹v¹+m²v²=m¹v²+ m²v¹ (if I am not wrong).. so if the mass will increase momentum will increase, inorder to conserve the momentum velocity of other coins should increase so it can move more coins or displacement of coins will increase, I studied it in class 9th and had doubt about it doubt is I think momentum not only depends upon mass and velocity but also depends upon area of cross section for eg:- take two solid shapes, one sphere and one cube of same weight and throw/drop it to the plane surface with same velocity you will notice that the sphere will bounce more distance than cube, hence I can say that momentum also depends upon cross section.Now I am in 10 th (old batch ) if anyone can explain me please help me out with this doubt 😊🙃
