'5W' blue laser from Ebay

Bought this blue laser advertised as "5W" on Ebay for 50$, a few years ago.
Came with a carrying case, inside of it, containing a various pattern-caps to screw onto the front, a charger, red colored laser goggles and a Li-Ion 18650 battery.

Seems like a laser light would be good in a survival kit. It would be a good way to get the attention of a rescue teams. It could replace a flare.

Those measure at about 1.5. Enough to fry your retina looking at the wall reflection.

I can’t stop laughing hahahah it is a major lazer! Becareful to not point at any aircrafts. I saw a guy get arrested within 5 minutes by the FBI for pointing it at a chopper.

The blue gatling style laser is around 100-500mw. The host is impressive, but the laser has a lot if divergence and the diode burns out quickly if you're not careful.

I love lasers! I have a weak purple one and a decent powered green one. I really wish to have this but my parents won't buy it for me. I can't blame them as Im an Indian and $50 is ₹4000+ here. You can live for Whole month with Basic (Electricity, Heating, Cooling, Water, Garbage) in 85m2 Apartment by just paying 3500/- rent.You can travel from Jammu tavi ( Top north of india) to Kanyakumari (Bottom of India, South) in just 2700/-. A pair of nike running shoes etc. Maybe when I become an adult and make my own money, I can buy one.

Most of these have built in batteries.... I went for the 2x 18650 version... pretty neat... looks like a infinite length lightsaber at night.

It's not what it's advertised but it's lower. 1.5watts it's been tested and verified as such.
