Number 12 is a DIY meat smoker. Pretty ingenious, actually. The previous owner piped the chimney out through the incinerator's ventilation system. The wooden grate over the vent is there to control the exhaust, retaining the desired amount of heat and smoke. Note the smoke stains starting at the level of the stools and inside the vent itself. The microwave was used to dry out wood chips or pellets prior to use.

I could go for some pastrami.
