Favorite Cowboy Cooking Tool| Dutch Oven Hanger

Sometimes the wire handle on one of my Dutch Ovens slides around on my tripod hook when it hangs over a fire. I saw a picture of "double hook" a decided to try my own.

Really good idea. Most people would have put a bend in the middle of the bail but you are smarter than that. You knew that if you did it would reduce the radius of the bail causing it not to clear the cover when you put the bail down making it awkward to take the cover on and off.

Very good solution to the Dutch Oven handle problem. You would think the handle would have a small bend in the center to prevent sliding. Your fix was fun to care, Mike.
