President-elect Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order on January 20 to remove transgender troops from the U.S. military. The order will also ban new transgender recruits, impacting over 15,000 active service members. This move comes as the military faces recruitment struggles. Critics argue that it could harm military readiness and disrupt leadership structures, while Trump has criticized “woke” practices in the military.

I retired from the US Army in 2019 with over 26 years of service as partly enlisted, partly as an officer. Myself and many others eventually chose to submit our retirement packets early in our careers when we could have in fact served more years before reaching age 60 much in part due to the newly emerging and extremely unsettling LGBTQ situation that we could see first hand was already wrecking our military. The ones who claim it is not wrecking the military are usually Generals and such who have not lived it firsthand to understand the horror it causes.
