I’ve been fishing for cod on the Northeast coast of NL for 3 years. So far, I’ve caught about 200. Never see any parasites in my fish.
It’s probably due to having much colder water. I like the technique this guy uses. We generally remove the gut and a small sac of eggs from the female.

I didn't know about parasites in codfish, I bet companies that sell (mass production)
cod to supermarket chains do not remove them.
