About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

I love how even in George's memory of the toast, people are annoyed by him.

The amount of confidence and bullsht capabilities to make a toast during a birthday party of a coworker you barely know, on your first day on the job, is something many of us do not have.

George is a different breed

That audible "oh no!" from the audience at 2:53 was hilarious!

George aces every interview because he worked for Vandelay Industries. Clearly Penske material

Gotta admire George for his sheer level of undeserved confidence 👏👏

Anytime I see a Penske truck rental on the road I immediately think they’re Penske material.

I would have died of anxiety. George is a proper sociopath 😂😂

1:16 “ohhh leave Jack alone. Jack’s got enough problems.” 😂 😂

I always enjoy the fact that Jason Alexander played George with just enough anxiety that whatever he's doing, you kind of hope he pulls it off, and with just enough smugness that you absolutely hope he fails (for instance, his face at 3:23 when he thinks Penske will catch him and at 4:20 when he's certain Tuttle won't).

ETA: Also, it's worth taking a moment to enjoy the absurdity of him thinking that Penske would visit the office and figure out that he didn't do the work in the file, while thinking that the guy who owns the place would be fooled by him taking someone else's old work and moving it into a new folder (that's a Kruger level of incompetence).

Very very relevant is that, during the interview, the boss tells George that he likes George because “he understands things and doesn’t need to have things explained to him”

George has the understated energy of an architectural marine biologist.

Funny how George worries he didn't get the job from Tuttle, when in the end he learns he did get the job but is fired for being lazy and incompetent lol. Typical George, putting more effort into a scheme than an actual profession

George’s ability to BS people is so underrated

This is among my favorite episodes. One often overlooked thing about this scene, to me, all these years later...THAT'S the "smaller" office?? I'd kill to have an office that big, with that much privacy. Times have changed.

I literally lived a situation like this for 2 or 3 months - zero onboarding. It was both relaxing and incredibly stressful. In the end I accomplished nothing the entire time (but still got paid!)

2:51 the person saying “oh no!” in the audience actually had me crying

I remember George getting fired/quitting 6 times. This was the coolest among them all 😂 He just casually walked out 🔥

When I lived in Houston I overheard a conversation on a city bus! One young man asked another how did he ever get hired at a company called Grocery Supply?!? He answered that he was down on his luck and really really needed a job and went to apply there one day! It was a very large company! Say while walking around, he saw a female leading a group of people thru and just fell in behind with them! They were NEW HIRES! HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PAPERS BUT SAYS HE JUST BLUFFED HIS WAY INTO A JOB! SAYS FIRST FEW DAYS EVERY TIME SOMEONE ASKED FOR THIS OR THAT HE JUST KEPT CLAIMING HE TURNED IT IN TO PERSONNEL ALREADY! FINALLY someone brought him a folder full of papers to fill out and sign, APOLOGIZING FOR LOSING THE ORIGINALS! SAID THAT WAS 3 YEARS PRIOR AND HE'D BEEN WORKING THERE EVER SINCE... YEAH! 😁😀😂

I love that if he even bothered to look at the documents while transferring them into the accordion style folder, George most likely would’ve realized Penske was under indictment
