How To Factory Reset Nest

How do you know what type of heating you have E.G gas or electric etc ? Or does it not really matter ? It’s a new home built in 2019 and has a newer type of heating coming from ceiling . Please help

Will this factory reset help me get the cooling to work again?... my apartment never gets hot in the summertime or if it's hot outside because I have all wood flooring and the position of my apartment doesn't allow the sun to really come in but it was a little humid out the other day and I just wanted to just run the cooling setting for a few minutes but because it's been so cold I've had the heater on for months and now the cooling won't work so just wanted to know if this reset will help with that ....I don't want to fool with it if it's not going to work and if it's something that I need to call maintenance in for so I'm asking you first.... by the way the cooling work perfectly when I moved in so it wasn't already malfunctioning I just haven't used that setting in months THANKS 🤗

I moved in to my new house, Nest Thermostat was working just fine at 72, keeping in mind I live like 30 mints away from Palm Springs so is HOT, is being 3 days when I turned it on it is working just fine at 72 cool and fresh, than now is show 2+ it will be bump to 83 F, I already reset it to manufacture, how can I just keep it at 72? Any suggestions please, any body???

how can you do a factory reset IF the unit is locked? Kids entered a password that we do not know/ forgot, but I do not want to go buy a new unit.
