My Quilt Suspension System

In this video (my first, so excuse the amateurish everything), I show you how I conceived and executed (thanks to husbando) my quilt suspension system to help me quilt more and curse less. I had many of the components and a handy husband. So this rig cost less than $40 US. If you were to purchase the pieces, still under $100.

I hope that this gives you some ideas. This system works best in a dedicated sewing room due to the overhead suspension system.

Key things to consider (as I did my dry run): Ensure that your straps are adjustable; allow for quick connects where possible (I have two; 1 at the rail and 1 at the carabiner); get ratchet clamps as noted (Pony 2" 3200 series); ensure that your rings will move smoothly on your support (ratio of rail to ring should not be too tight).

This system checked all of the boxes above.

Happy Quilting!

Newly Subscribed and thrilled that you have shared this system. I am encouraged and motivated to get my husband to create something similar so that I can create my own suspension system. Your quilt is beautiful. Love your colors too
