Now we'll never get a chance for another Slipknot album with Joey on the drums and it's so sad because he was the heart and soul of that band.

20 years with the band and they let him go through an email?

One of the first members: gets let go by fucking email. What an actual disgrace.

It's a bit shitty that he was "let go" by email, would be cool to see him return tho. Then again, Jay is a solid drummer and might bring something fresh to the table. Who knows :/

I like the new guy on the drums, but he´s no Joey..

Would be awesome to have him come back..

The fact that they just emailed him pisses me off

I'm very 50/50 on this. I'd love him to come back to slipknot because he was psychically unable to play so that's why he was let go and he's better now so he should be allowed back into the band.

However Jay is doing a really good job as the drummer and seems unfair just to get rid of him

As good a job as Jay has done with the group it would be great to see Joey return.

could be worse Michael Anthony found out he was out of Van Halen from reading an article online.

I like Jay, but never got to completely grow with Joey. I got into metal in 2013, so I didn't know about Joey. I'd love to see the live performances of Grey Chapters songs from a more stable Jordinson

Much respect for Joey...I think when most people think of slipknot the first thing they think of is Joey Jordison and the drums. You are truly one on a million and were a huge part in making Slipknot what they are today. Keep killing it!!!!

'Remission' from the condition, not a cure for transverse myelitis. It's also considered miraculous if someone regains function after becoming paralyzed from it, very rare. Reason I am mentioning this is it's dangerous to have unrealistic expectations for the chronically ill and disabled. Joey is an inspiration for his hard work back to health but an even greater roll is a a 'roll from the universal dice' on if it's even a possibility to recover, and even still patients are left with nerve damage fatigue and chronic pain normally for the rest of their life and still must do therapies of steroidal infusions, physical therapy and many many other things to keep the results with your fingers crossed. It's important that people that are healthy know what it's really like in the disabled chronic illness community, always stay grateful for the health you were given

Man, I’d love Joey to return. His drumming on songs like Eyeless was amazing.

I would love to see Joey back, he is one of the best metal drummers to ever play, even if it was just like a reunion kind of thing, like 1 small tour of him on the drums and then after that Jay would come back, that'd be sick as fuck, I miss Joey playing Slipknot, his newer stuff is just...ehh...

The crappy way he was let go was an insult. He deserved so much better than that. RIP Joey. You and Paul were the heart and soul of the band. Neither of you will ever be replaced.

It's good he has no hard feelings. He's a great drummer.

Why in hell they'd let him go? I mean this guy is the reason why slipknot is slipknot.

Hope he comes back to the band one day.
Or have some kind of drum battle/duet-sort with the new/current drummer

I would love for him to return! He's better and I think it would be beneficial to both parties. I'd be extremely happy if this happens. Doesn't feel the same without him. Jay is an excellent drummer I'd like to see Joey back.
